Invertebrates :

These are several invertebrates animals found in aquatic and terrestrial habitat. Protozoans are microscopic forms. Zooplanktons form the basis of food chain in aquatic habitats. Polyps form different types of corals. Annelid worms, molluscs, spiders, crabs, lobsters, jelly fish, octopus are different invertebrate animals found in India. Variety of arthropods like grasshoppers, bugs, beetles, ants, bees, butterflies, moths are also found in India. 

Marine fauna :

In a marine ecosystem large number of animals are found which are used as food. For example, crabs, shrimphs, prawns, lobster are the delicious sea foods. Variety of fishes live in sea which are also used as a food by human. These  animals are over-harvested in the coastal water and many species are decreasing in number. Mahseer fishes were once found abundantly but now they are endangered species. Whale's, sharks, dolphins are also found in Indian oceans are now threatened by extinction. .
