Even today most of the electricity is generated through fossil fuels. This leads to extreme air pollution. So directly or indirectly, emails generate CO2, it harms the environment. According to studies, one spam message produces around 0.3 grams CO2, Normal email 4 grams and attachment emails generate around 50 grams. This might sound like a small no, Right? But according to reports, around 60 billion spam mails are sent in one day. That's Right, 60 Billion. That means almost 80 Lakh Kg of CO2 are generated from spam mails. That really needs to change!

You'll stop receiving promotional emails.

Turn Off Social Media Mail Notification

If you still get social media mails then deactivate it right now. Mostly, these notifications you get in apps also. If you actually need those mails, then only activate them, otherwise just deactivate! This will take one minute.

Clean your inbox whenever Possible

In our free time we mostly just keep swiping. If in a week we check our mails and clean them, we will reduce it's negative impact on our planet.

These are some steps where we can sit at home and take a step towards an eco-friendly lifestyle. Maybe we won't be able to stop climate change, but we can definitely reduce our carbon footprint. If we take care of this together, we'll be able to reduce negative impact.
